It is now more than forty years since I entered the real estate industry, as a young salesperson on Bribie Island, selling my first home for $30,000 in July 1979. My first project marketing assignment was in 1981, a small block of nine units called Pacific Breakers on Rickman Parade, Bribie, still there to this day.
Throughout the following years, I sold thousands of homes, project-marketed many unit developments and sites, land sub-divisions and housing estates, whilst managing large rent rolls and Bodies Corporates.
I was the foundation member of the First National Real Estate group in Queensland in 1983, and whilst holding several positions within the Queensland arm, I gained valuable experience as to how a national group operates, their benefits and disadvantages to both buyers and sellers.
In early 2001, after moving to Albany Creek and working for a few of the local agencies, I could see that the internet was going to be a game-changer in the way homes would be marketed and sold in the future. The traditional agency practice was about to go through a massive upheaval in how they operated, and for those who embraced these changes, there were great opportunities.
So, taking a leap of faith, I decided in 2012 to start Gott Realty.
I have always used technology and its benefits in our agency. Today we are a modern real estate agency embracing the concept of “TOTAL TRANSPARENCY,” which provides fair and equal opportunity for all our sellers and the buying community.
My belief is that this is the way of the future in real estate today.
