Now approaching forty years in the real estate industry, my first marketing project was in 1981, a small block of nine units on Bribie Island, called Pacific Breakers. Over the years, many more marketing projects followed, with unit developments, land subdivisions, housing estates, and property and body corporate management.
I have been involved with many other interesting facets of the real estate industry. During the early years of my career, I worked in general real estate sales, becoming sales manager for Chas Drew Real Estate on Bribie Island in the early 1980’s and eventually buying the business myself in 1986. I was the foundation member of National Real Estate group in Queensland, and whilst holding several positions within the Queensland arm, I gained valuable experience of how a national group operates, as well as being involved with their marketing and design department, culminating with the implementation of a new national brand.
Selling the agency in 2001 to move to Brisbane, I gained different experiences working for some of the national franchise groups around Albany Creek. My time during this period was interesting and I could see that the internet was going to change the dynamics of how real estate agencies could be run, and how this could present new business opportunities in residential sales, which has led to the establishment of my own brand and agency as it is today.
